Fall/Winter Forecast 2014

Saturday, April 19th, 2014

No sooner had we put away our snow boots and heavy wool socks, than it was full circle right back into winter.  Well not exactly…. this past weekend shop owners made the biannual trek to Toronto, arriving wide-eyed with anticipation, notebooks in hand, ready to preview the Fall/Winter Collections inside the Diamond Yarn Showroom.  From one impressive display to the next, a diverse palette of opulent jewel tones, warm greys, burnished metals, and icy hues emerged to set the tone for the season to come.  Quick knitting resonated loudly, with a bounty of bulky yarns on the horizon, yet even lighter and loftier than in previous years, while at the opposite end of the gamut, lace weights are strengthening their foothold, with manufacturers spinning scaled-down versions of the most popular brands.

The forecast for Fall/Winter 2014-
