A Season To Shine

Monday, April 25th, 2016

If you thought shimmer and shine were considered fashionably incorrect after the tinsel-clad holiday season was put to rest, think again.  As the sun pushes its way to higher altitudes this month brightening up our days with a surge of natural light, that’s all the more reason to indulge your knitting needles with a yarn that is infused with radiant shine.

Introducing Cannes from Katia, an intriguing new combination yarn that makes the switch from matte to glistening to outright sizzle in a transitional trio of cotton, viscose ribbon and nylon.  Available this Spring in fourteen luminous shades.  Have a look at some of these sensational styles from Katia’s design team featuring Cannes-

A hot trend this year, the Kimono-style cover up adds a loose top layer to tee shirts, and tunic tops.  Col. 60 (shown above).

Side to side knitting in two equal pieces highlights the unique vertical striping on this stunning oversized top radiating with light.  Col. 53 (shown above).

Katia’s version of a lightweight summer poncho, this airy Dolman-sleeve design with side vents not only looks great over jeans or leggings, but fits with the comfort of a favorite sweatshirt.  Col. 57 (shown above).

Elongated stitches create an instant airy effect and accentuate the lines on this sleeveless top which is knit vertically in one piece with an attached collar and straps.  Col. 50 (shown above).

This stylish scarf is a ‘wear with everything’ accessory, the perfect finish to either a casual or dressy outfit and surprisingly simple to knit on the bias.  Luxurious fringing gives it a Moroccan look.  Pattern available in Katia Book no. 89.  Col. 52 (shown above).
