A Shawl With Possibilities

When a new design catches your eye, chances are that it may also intrigue a few of your knitting friends.  Knitalongs are currently the hottest ticket in town and can be as simple as a small gathering in someone’s living room, a weekly meet up at the local library or coffee shop.  After all, isn’t knitting much more fun in the company of others?  Yarn shops, Ravelry and online stitching communities are also hot spots for knitalongs.  All it takes to organize one is shared enthusiasm for the same project, a designated start and finish date, plus maybe a few incentives to keep the needles clicking.

This fluttery light shawl from Mirasol’s Spring collection is quickly becoming a popular choice for knitalongs.  Designed in a triangular shape, with a striking combination of open work sections and simple stripes, this is a project that offers new techniques to learn and endless colour possibilities to suit everyone’s tastes.

The Paracas’ Shawl is knit in Nuna, a classic sport weight yarn from Mirasol that stays calm, cool and collected from one season to the next due to its natural merino base blended with shimmery silk and bamboo sourced viscose.

Wear this design as a warm weather shawl or decorative neck scarf.  With Mother’s Day right around the corner, wouldn’t this make an ideal gift?
