In Black and White

While models were marching down the runway in a freshly pressed parade of high voltage colour, by far the biggest and most unexpected footprint left behind for Spring 2013 was a simply striking palette in black and white.  A dramatically bold interaction of horizontal lines, zigzags, and chevrons sprang forward, instantly turning heads and cleverly filling a void between lollipop brights and buttery pastels with smart sass and timeless appeal.

Two looks with the same yarn!  The criss cross construction of Tonga in classic black and white forms a decorative neckline to finish off the knitted  sleeveless shell on the left.  While adding in wide open crochet work with a secondary yarn elongates these panels of Tonga in the shrug on the left for an airier look.  Watch the video here to see how versatile this yarn really is.
